Ħasrija is the capital city of the Principality of Jilrit, Cildania. Aside from its administrative and political role, the city also serves as a economic hub, as it is home to one of the largest and busiest international shipping ports in Cildania.

The richest district is the centrally-located Ynysatrei business and residential district. Nevertheless, the city is also home to a large working class population which has, from time to time, lended its support to far-left and radical political movements.

History[]

Being assembled.

The city has, at times, been a centre of socialist and communist organizing. Many mayors of Ħasrija throughout the 2000s and early 3000s were members of the Cildanian Communist Party, or other far-left parties.

Ħasrija Harbour[]

The city's harbour is renowned throughout the world for its massive fish docks, which process extraordinary quantities of fish each day. The fish docks employ roughly 25,000 people and operate at all hours of the day, nearly every day of the year. The Ħasrija Dock Tower, built nearly 3000 years ago, remains another important attraction to the harbour. At over 600 meters tall, it remains the tallest structure in the city; it is now listed as a national monument and property developers are reluctant to risk the wrath of the city's inhabitants by building anything higher than it's 600 meters.

Arts Quarter[]

The Ħasrija Arts Quarter is among the most important in the country, renowned for its taboo and alternative output. The Theatre of Agony in Ħasrija is a notorious venue for extreme body art and display, weird stunts and 'alternative' theatre all housed in a baroque, gothic, de-consecrated cathedral. The arts quarter is popular with tourists and backpackers.

Sports[]

Main articles: Football in Cildania and Ħasrija United FC

Ħasrija has one of the oldest football clubs in Cildania, Ħasrija United FC, known for their fierce rivalry with Ramex Raiders FC.
