The 3512 Alliance of the Centre party convention was held to decide a new leader, presidential candidate and direction of the Tukarese party.  

Leadership Race[]

The leadership race was fought by three candidates: Juan Silva, Marcos Breton and Andres Cavalhero. Cavalhero was widely seen as a minor candidate with no chance of winning. The race was started after David Cross stepped down as leader and retired from politics. Juan Silva, being party Chair for Morata Valley, had most of his support from Morata Valley, Dhataan and Shrin Kali. His camp was supported also by the centerleft faction of the party. Trade and Industry minister, Marcos Breton, was supported more by the centerright faction of the party and was considered the main competitor to Silva. Cavalhero represented the leftist faction. he became marginalized early on in the campaign. The campaign was to replace David Cross.

Presidential Candidate Nomination[]

After the departure of Rafael Galletta from the presidential ticket after the 3512 election, the newly named Alliance of the Centre needed a candidate for the 3516 election. Only Marina Santos, former party president, presented herself for the nomination. She was crowned the winner by default.
