The 4901 Likatonian general election was an election held to elect the President of Likatonia and 99 members of the Senate of Likatonia.

In the presidential election, Lynda Evans from the Progressive Alliance beat her former ally in the the days of the CSD, Dan James from the Labour Party in an extraordinary close election. In the Senate, Lab became the largest party with 35 seats gaining 25 seats. All other parties gained 6 or less seats which meant they stayed relatively the same size.

Context[edit | edit source]

In the previous Senate the Progressive Republican Party and Likatonian Peoples Party dissolved due to them losing the elction. Also Lab left the CSD due to divides over how left wing the country should become after the right dissolved.

Government Formation[edit | edit source]

After the election there was some disscussion about ehich government ahould be formed. First the Labour Party tried to form a government with the Democrats and PCP as they all opposed the SWP socialist bill. However Dem rejected this coalition becuse three parties would be part of it. This then led Lab working with PA in forming the James I cabinet.
