The 5091 Luthorian parliamentary election was an election for the Imperial Diet of Luthori. All 300 members were elected on the 4th of September 5091.

The election saw the rise of the far-right Brown Cross which became the second largest party.

It also ended the 20 years long domination of the Conservative Party which for the first time in its history is not first party and collapsed to the fourth place. With slight gains, the Country National Party becomes the largest party.

The left-wing Progressive Party and syncretic Heart of Luthori made losses while the Social Democratic Party made gains.

Overall, the incumbent cabinet of Richard Billinghay lost 57 seats.

Context

The previous elections were won again by the Conservative Party led to the formation of the Billinghay IV Cabinet. The government passed both progressive and conservative reforms. In November 5090, the government modified its foreign policy to a strongly isolationist policy. The bill, inspired by the program of the Brown Cross, was rejected by the CNP but still passed.

In 5088, the Brown Cross' paramilitary wing attacked the Heart of Luthori's headquarters, leading to its ban later that year, but reregistered as the "Popular Movement - The Brown Cross" in January 5091.

Campaign

The election campaign was particularly violent and marked by the rise of the far-right Brown Cross.

On 24 August 5091, Brown Cross and Progressive Party militants clashed in the streets of Alchester, Erneshire. This resulted in the death of 1 Brown Cross militant.
