Altair Rodis (April 7, 4130 - ) is a Selucian lawyer and politician who represents Korgana in the Ekklesía de Selucia.
Before politics (4130 - 4148)[]
Born in a worker family, he studied law at the University of Assedo, Korgana and at the same time he was working in a department store in order to pay his studies. Having a low-level family and being the oldest of three children, he was interested in politics from a young age, searching for a way to improve the condition of his own family. As soon as he reached the majority of age, he joined firstly Novis Rebus and later In Marea, hoping for a brighter future for low-income families.
Secretary of Equality (4152-)[]
Aelius Celer named Rodis Secretary of Equality of In Marea in 4152 after the recommendations of the General Assembly, which saw a great potential on him. As secretary, he proposed the proportional list of 50/50 for deputies and a law proposal for domestic violence.
Minister of Foreign Affairs (4159-4163)[]
During the last government of Aelius Celer, in 4159 he was announced as the new minister of Foreign Affairs.
He started to work in the matters the previous minister left behind, such as the treaty ratifications, like the Union of Majatran Nations.
Political ideas[]
He is one of the fiercest activists for the rights of women and the LGTB group, being himself out of the closet since a young age.
He proposed the increase of the minimum wage and the reform of the laboral law, as well as more laws to protect minority groups from abusers.
Talking about his environmental views, he is a defender of higher pollution restrictions and stricter laws regarding hunting, as well as more incentives to public transport.
He identifies himself as "openly gay, openly atheist, openly ecologist and openly feminist".
Ajax Apostolos, Aelius Celer and himself were the hard core of In Marea after the retirement of Athena Scudo from the political scenario and the death of Tera Pisthis.
