The Association for the Defense of Canrillaise Culture (Can. : Association pour la Défense de la Culture Canrillaise, abbreviated ADCC) is the international charitable organization dedicating to maintaining and protecting Canrillaise culture in southern Seleya.
History[]
The precursor to the ADCC were a series of political and linguistic clubs founded in during the cultural turmoil of the early 3100s. During that time the Canrillaise suffered through serious erosion as a culture across southern Seleya as the Luthorian language became more popular and indeed a movement began in Kanjor specifically to declare Luthorian as an official language; there were even calls to make it the sole official language with the argument that it was the language of business and therefore the future, while Canrille was interpreted as the language of the past.
These political and linguistic clubs were successful in maintaining Canrille as the language of Kanjor. The threats of Alduria and Rildanor were much less pronounced but did became sources of great debate.
The ADCC was formally founded in late 4375 as a charitable organization dedicated to assisting the Canrillaise throughout the world in many ways. Due to many wealthy financiers and patrons, the ADCC maintains offices throughout the Canrillaise-speaking world to carry out its work.
