Government and Politics of Cildania

The Cildanian Phalangist Party (Cildanian: צרבי דרכית קלדרית, Ṡurby Dorkeit Qildarit), commonly known by its acronym Ṡedeq (Cildanian: צד״ק, meaning "Righteousness") was a Pan-Qedarite (OOC: Pan-Semitic) political party in Cildania, following the ideology of Phalangism, the driving force behind the ancient Qedarite Republic of Cildania (3052-3100). As such, the Phalangist Party sought the creation of a single Qedarite nation-state spanning the entire Majatran continent, the removal of all foreign influences from Majatra, a strict separation of Church and State, opposition to sectarianism, and the assimilation of non-Qedarites into the Qedarite Nation. Phalangism had historically been strongly republican, however the Phalangist Party was cautiously supportive of the House of Thomas due to its ties to Beiteynu and Barmenistan. The Phalangist Party also to an extent abandoned the historical commitment to a socialist economy, believing it to have been a necessity in the context of a Majatra dominated by Artanian colonialism, a situation that has changed in modern times.

Ṡedeq became a central player in Cildania during the Civil War, as its pan-Qedarite ideology was appealing to Cildanians opposed to the sectarian character of the various factions in the war. In July 3877 the Party gained an overwhelming number of seats and formed a coalition government with the Communist Party of Cildania. The party disintegrated in May 3884 due to factional infighting between its socialist and its fascist wings, with the former eventually joining the Communist Party and the latter merging with the monarchist Cildanian National Coalition.
