The Citizens' Party of the September Union (CPSU) (in Dundorfian: Bürgerpartei der September Union, Kunikata: 九月連合の市民党) or just the Citizens' Party is a centre septembrist party in Hulstria and Gao-Soto. It is popularly referred to as the Bürgerkoalition (its original name). The CPSU is the founding and ruling party of the September Union, they however cooperate with other non-electoral political organizations through the Gerwald Staebler - Fatherland Bloc.

Founded on the 21 September 4720 by Gerwald Staebler as a party for the citizens and unity of the country since the dissolution of the Social Democratic Party. The party is the founder of the September Union.

History Edit

During most of September 4720, the people of Hulstria started to protest after having grown tired of the non-existing and nom-functioning government in the nation. Gerwald Staebler a former lawyer took to the streets and spoke to the people of the historic values Hulstria had fostered and that these values should never be forgotten. After visting and speaking at many different demonstrations around the country, Staebler officially founded on the 21 September 4720 the Citizens' Coalition who has as the principle ideology Septembrism and began amassing more support for every day that went and was able to set-up the Provisional Emergency Committee to handle an snap-election to decide the future of the nation. Since there existed no opposition to the Citizens' Coalition they won and immediately proposed the 'Declaration of the Septembrist Union' Act, which sought to create a Septembrist Union state comprising of all the Crownlands of Hulstria.

In September 4721, the party started debating over the name of the Union and the institutions in it. Some of the more moderate and progressive has argued that the name of the nation should be changed to the September Union instead of the Septembrist Union, as it would come out as undemocratic to create a state which puts the ideology of Septembrism on a pedestal and that the Union should instead put its values of democracy and liberty up high and instead honor the September Revolution (which birthed Septembrism). This argument has been supported by President Staebler who has worked on a bill to present this change to the Congress, however due to heavy debate from the more radical ideologues it has been put on hold.

Ideological position Edit

The Citizens' Party was founded on the values of Septembrism. They however has shown to go a step further in their deification of the September Revolution and its ideology. The party has openly advocated for a strong centralized presidency, and at the same time a strong and powerful Presidium.

Name Edit

The party was founded and named as the Citizens' Coalition of the Septembrist Renewal of Hulstria but was mostly and popularly referred to as the Citizens' Coalition and was also widely referred to its' Dundorfian translation of the Bürgerkoalition (BüK). With the creation of the September Union the party changed its name to the Citizens' Party of the September Union (CPSU), shortened down to Bürgerpartei (BüP), but the name Bürgerkoalition is still popularly and widely used to refer to it.

Party organization Edit

The party leader of the Citizens' Coalition is the Chairman of the Citizens' Council abbreviated to the CCC. The Chairman is elected by the congress of the party, and is the one to represent it externally, whilst the Secretary-General is the one managing internal party affairs and reports them to the Chairman.
