The Coalition of the Radical Left (Greek: Synaspismós Rizospastikís Aristerás) was founded in 4511 by union member Elena Kountoura and human rights activist Maria Kollia-Tsaroucha. The Coalition of the Radical Left wants to work towards a country that works for the many, not the few. 

The policy of the Coalition of the Radical Left is based primarily on the principles of economic nationalism, progressivism, left-wing populism, and above all socialism. We oppose monarchy and all rightist ideologies and influences that undermine equality. The only way to achieve the victory of our nation is to fight. 

Whilst we support all workers, our party is also aligned to the Ahmadi (Muslim) religion and specifically aligned to the Israi (Sunni) tradition. The party however believes in secularism and we work towards separating the state and religion where possible. 

After the First Kollia-Tsaroucha ministry and its borderline communist policies, SYRIZA faced a landslide defeat. They fell from 750 seats to just 320. Kountoura and Kollia-Tsaroucha both lost their roles. As a result of this, the party took a more moderate stance on market issues in the next Ecclesia session. 

Following their four years out of power, SYRIZA drastically changed their image. They still appeared socially progressive, however they moderated their views on the market. This allowed them to win the 4520 Kalopian elections by such a large scale.
