Crown Prince Tykiem (born His Imperial and Royal Highness Crown Prince Tykiem Kosan Sebek-em-saf on November 3 4415 at Nekhatw Palace) is the heir apparent of the Esinsundu Empire. He is the son of Empress Saksoure IX and her consort King Nkosinathi of Hawu Mumenhes. As heir apparent, Crown Prince Tykiem will one day inherit the thrones of Cobura, Talmoria, and Hawu Mumenhes.

Birth and Early Life[]

The Crown Prince was delivered in a home-birth at Nekhatw Palace, Hawu Mumenhes at about 6pm on November 3rd, 4415. He was the first Crown Prince born to an Empress Regnant, as all five of his predecessors were born to reigning Emperors, Emperors in Pretense, or to deposed Crown Princes. Crown Prince Tykiem was also the first child born to the House of Chandler-Saksoure, newly founded upon his parents' marriage. His father, King Nkosinathi of Hawu Mumenhes, marked the Crown Prince's birth by commissioning a palace intended to serve as the seat of the Crown Prince's court upon his coming of age.

Role as Crown Prince[]

The Crown Prince's role in the Empire and its constituent kingdoms primarily surrounds preparing for his eventual duties as the future Emperor Esintsundu. This includes taking an active interest in the politics of the Empire but also in the unique cultures of each of its kingdoms, where The Crown Prince is viewed differently in accordance with his own personal significance in the history of each particular country. For example, in Hawu Mumenhes, Crown Prince Tykiem is a highly beloved public figure due to his role as a symbol of Hawu heritage on account of his descent from both the Imperial Family and renowned statesmen President Hermelinda Shelby and President Allvince Chandler. He is also a subject of curiosity and fascination throughout the Empire as a whole due to the "bad luck" of his title, the two previous holders of which died before becoming Emperor.
