The Empire of Hulstria (Hulstrian: Kaisertum Hulsterreich) is the western half of the Imperial Crownlands of Hulstria and Gao-Soto. It was established in 3388 as a sovereign entity, following the creation of Gao-Soto and the second dual monarchy. The Empire of Hulstria largely continues the governmental system of Greater Hulstria, albeit at a more limited level.

History[]

The elections of 3385 brought a landslide victory to a coalition of Gao-Showa nationalist parties and their Hulstrian sympathizers. The following year, Greater Hulstria was transformed into the Imperial Crownlands of Hulstria and Gao-Soto, and in 3388, Hulstria was granted sovereignty over the western and northern parts of the Imperial Crownlands, the traditional areas of majority Hulstrian culture.

Government[]

The Empire of Hulstria enjoys a large degree of political autonomy from the central government, being allowed to have its own laws and governance. The Head of State of the Empire is the Emperor of Hulstria (Kaiser von Hulsterreich). The legislative body of the Empire of Hulstria is the Imperial Council (Reichsrat), located in Kien, elected by universal suffrage by all the citizens of the Empire. The Executive body of Hulstria is the Cabinet of Hulstria (Kabinett von Hulsterreich), headed by the Minister-President (Ministerpräsident).
