The Government of Jelbania is the name for the government ministers who serve the Khan of Jelbania in running the Khanate. The body has existed since time immemorial in different forms, the most recent being the one instituted by the clan hegemony in November 3600.
The Government is led by a Wrntusrljikai who acts on the commands of the Khan and serves at his pleasure. The Khan can appoint himself to this office or any other person.

A Cabinet Minister serves as head of each of the twelve (the number may vary at times) government departments while junior ministers assist each Cabinet Minister in their department. There are 43 junior ministers in the government and 8 non ministerial departments which are headed by senior civil servants.

The Khan's chief official residence is the Purple Palace in Baofluz. The Cabinet meets in the Palace, often in the presence of the Monarch. Most Government departments have their headquarters at the Grey Complex which is very near to the Purple Palace.
Local Government[]
Jelbania has very powerful local government structures. They are divided into three sections - taghes which govern cities, towns and a few rural steppe areas, clan territory executives which govern the bulk of rural steppe areas and Special Administrative Cities, the four largest cities which are largely self governing and fall directly under the central government's authority as well.
