Jiyū Party of Sekowo (自由党)

Kankawaraken (Kunikata/Sekowan: 官川原県) is one of the five prefectures of the Great Republic of Seko. The name of the Prefecture literally means "meadow government", and refers to its geography and governance from the time of the Kingdom of Sekowo (Seko).

History[]

Kankawara has been continuously inhabited by various groups for the last 350,000 years.

Ancient History[]

The region has been host to many peoples over the millenia, however the Gao-Showa have inhabited the Central and Southern portions of Kankawara for the last 3,000 years while the Sørna and their ancestors have lived in the Northern half of Kankawara for at least the last 1,600 years.

Pre-Modern History[]

Kankawara, being a major center of Civilization was the first region of what is modern Sekowo to see the rise of true cities and Urban culture.

The Orinco culture was one of the two primary cultures to dominate Kankawara during this time.

Modern History[]

Kankawara has been the scene of many of the events of Sekowo's Modern history, being the scene of one of the only battles during the Second Sekowan Civil War as well as mass protests at various times.

Geography & Environment[]

The geography and Environment is unique do to its natural and Human terrain. On the west coast is the Kankawaran Bay, which forms part of the White Ocean.

Geology[]

Kankawara is comprised of two geolographic regions, the mountainous North-West and the fothills and plains of the South-East.

Environment[]

The natural environment of Kankawara is vaired due to its extremes in geography. The North west is generally cool and rainy while the South east is generally warm and goes through periods of wet and dry weather.

Human Terrain[]

Do to Kankawara's continuous habitation human life has greatly influenced the environment over the years, however at no time has it been so extreme as the last two-hundred years. Slighltly over half of Kankawara's population (51%) is urban, ranging form the Southern portion of the Northern Megalopolis in the Northern half to the city Heimei-kyō in the center and the outskirts of Seritei in the extreme South.
