Crusader forces | Archbishopric of Argona Kingdom of Shadar |
The Sadarian Crusades were a series of conflicts fought over a 17-year period between the crusader forces of the Holy Apostolic Church against the Agathist followers (located mostly in Sadaria) of the heretical Archbishopric of Argona, allied with the Unitarian Kingdom of Shadar. The conflict ended with the victory of the crusaders and imposition of the Church's control over the island of Sadaria following a violent Inquisition.
After the conflict, and the Inquisition that followed, the native Shadari-speaking Sadarian nobility were nearly eliminated and replaced with a Dundorfian-speaking feudal aristocracy. The Crusades and the Inquisition led to the near extermination of Agathism, Unitarianism, and Paganism in Sadaria.
