The House of al-Amun was the ruling dynasty of the Great Empire of Jakania, founded by the military coup of 3165.
The first Sultan, Syed I ruled Jakania on 3165 until his abdication on 3191, during the Jakanian Civil War. Khemer Malamh al-Amun was the last Head of House.
Days of the Jakanian Empire[]
After Syed I, formerly authoritarian Supreme Governor of the Second Republic, changed the name of the state and transformed it into a monarchy. Syed II was declared Crown Prince and heir to the imperial throne. Neither the International Community nor any Majatran country acknowledged or supported the newly founded monarchy, with the exception of Kafuristan whose Grand Emir Hassuf I of Kafuristan held close ties to Syed I. By 3191, Kafuristan had withdrawn its support during the Jakanian Civil War, which led to the abdication of Syed I.
After Syed I abdicated on 3191. His son Syed II claimed to be the current head of the Imperial Family and Pretender to the Imperial Throne. Until his return on 3197 to be proclaimed Sultan of the Great Empire of Jakania.
Kafuristan and Jakania Treaty of 3166[]
The treaty between House of al-Amun and House of Al-Majali was known as the "Treaty of Greater Houses" which allowed both Signatories to claim the lands to each other upon the death of their monarch, if there was no successor to its throne of their respective sovereign state. This treaty became a threat to the House of al-Amun that by 3186, the treaty was eventually withdrawed from the constitution. The relations between those houses was still strong even to to this day.
Communist Jakania[]
Founding an Empire[]
Since th death of Syed II and the dissolution of the empire in 3214, the family remained quiet for the rest of their exsistence. Until in 3228 a man named Abdullah al-Amun urged the family to establish a political party based on Communism. The idea was ambitious, since the family had not intervened in politics for many years. This eventually came to fruition when the family decided to establish and allocate their vast amount of wealth to the Communist Nationalist Front. It was this decision that won them the election of 3230.
A Political Dynasty[]
The House of al-Amun never reinstated monarchy in Jakania as it was too chaotic and problematic to a country who for many years followed the ways of democracy. The family instead made the House of al-Amun to a political dynasty that would dominate Jaknia's politics for many years to come.
