James Vipond (b. August 19th, 3369) is a Luthori politician and current Secretary of State for Colonies of the Holy Luthori Empire. Vipond was born in Utagia and became a prominent local lawyer before he went to found the Imperial Conservative Party in response to the lack of a conservative party in the Holy Imperial Diet. Vipond was appointed the Privy Council of the Holy Luthori Empire on November 1st, 3399 due to his expertise in colonial law and education.
History[]
Born to a middle-class family, James went on to attend the University of Utagia where he studied law and became a civil lawyer at the age of 23. Vipond extensively studied colonial law and legislation throughout the history of the Empire. He was considered to be a leading colonial expert and had reported to the Department of Colonies numerous times to report on numerous issues including legality of actions. His Majesty, Gustavus III had informed his privy council of his choice of Vipond as Secretary of State for Colonies and on November 1st, 3399 Vipond was appointed as the Secretary of State for Colonies and elevated to His Majesty's privy council.
Personal life[]
Vipond is married to Maria (nee von Ingersleben), a Talmorian he met while on business in the Grand Duchy of Talmorschland. The two do not have any children. Vipond enjoys visiting the colonies of the Empire in his spare time, with his new job, this is beneficial. Vipond also enjoys golf, tennis and looking after his car collection.
