Karl von Stauffengart (b. May 5, 2610) was a Trigunian Industrialist and Politician, of Hulstrian descent. He founded the Stuaffengart Group, which owns the vast majority of diamond and gold mines in Trigunia and Hulstria. The Stauffengart Group also owns severeal steel plants in Hulstria and the Trigunian Railway Company. Stauffengart is also the majority share holder of Hulstrian International Shipping, based out of Marchau, Kuratha, Greater Hulstria.

Stauffengart was also leader of the Hulstro-Trigunian Crown Alliance, and conceived the idea of establishing of a Hulstrian Monarchy in Trigunia. He was later enobled by Heinrich I of Trigunia for his efforts on behalf of the Monarchy with the title Count of Malchik.

In 2671, von Stauffengart was appointed to the position of Mayor of Heinrichgrad. He would continue to serve in this position until 2677 when we was appointed to serve as Shadow Minister of Foreign Affairs by Heinrich I, during the 2677 Legislature Crisis, by the disappearance of the Trigunian Unionist Party. In 2680, his ended his tenure as Shadow Minister of Foreign Affairs when a new cabinet was finally able to be formed, resulting in his appointed as legitimate Minister of Foreign Affairs.
