Katherine Jenkins was born in Pfathzburg, Hulstria in 2318 to Welsh-Dranians who had fled their homeland during Operation Ethnic Cleanse in 2311.
Like most such refugees her parents were active supporters of the Refuge Pressure Party and Katherine soon entered political life early as a junior member of the Refuge X (The RPP's youth wing). She was quickly singled out as nothing short of a genius. At just 7 years of age she was outmanovering experienced political minds in discussions.
The Birth of a Political Leader[]
In 2327, with the resignation of Wali Thomas and the election of George Huws as party leader, Katherine got her big break.
Huws moved quickly to dump the old, mainly male former cabinet of the RPP and replaced them with a young, and totally female opposition front bench. Unbelievebly she was just 9 years of age.
As she neared the end of her teens Katherine became the public face of the Gishoto-born front bench, and provides a stark contrast to Huws and his predeccessors who fled Dranland.
Young, Welsh and Female[]
In 2340 George Huws stepped aside as leader of the RPP. At the age of 22, Katherine was nominated as his successor and won unapposed. She immeadietly tabled 35 proposals on the Diet floor in an attempt to impose her leadership on the party.
Within two years the RPP were back in government and in 2347 Katherine steered her party towards their most successful elecetion result in three decades.
