The Katub, also known as the Yeudish Scriptures, is the holy book of Yeudism and part of the First Word of the Hosian Bible, along with books known as the deuterocanonical books. It contains the histories, laws and prophecies of the Yeudi people, who consider it to be the word or message of their God, Elyon, to his people. Hosians consider the life and teachings of Elijah Hosios to be the fulfillment of the prophecies given in the old scriptures. The Katub recounts how God created heaven and earth, and created man, as well as the origins of the Qedarite peoples, before describing their migration from Squibble to Beiteynu, led by the great prophet Ariel. From the time of the arrival of the Yeudis in the promised land, it recounts their history and the prophecies of several prophets, whose purpose is two-fold: making clear God's wishes to Yeudi rulers and foretelling far-off events. Ubiquitous in this last category are prophecies referring to an entity or device known as the Spirit of God, which will be God's instrument of salvation for all mankind.
