Kivonia, also known as Kivonia City, is the capital and largest city of Davostan-Kivonia by both area and population. The city is also the provincial capital of Kovmark and the capital of the Federal State of Kivonia. It inhabits a population of 1,357,472 people as of December 4849. The city is known for being the cultural, economic and political center of the nation.
Kivonia is home to continental renowned universities such as the Kivonias Tekniska Högskola ("Technological Institute of Kivonia"), the Kivonias Universitet ("University of Kivonia"), the Republikens Konst Universitet ("Republic University of the Arts"), and the Kivonia School of Economics and Law. Its Reinhardt Palace is the second most visited building in the city, falling behind the Temple of Glory. The city is well known for its festivals, classical architecture, nightlife, contemporary arts and a very high quality of living. Since the 4800s Kivonia has seen the emergence of a cosmopolitan entrepreneurial scene.

Kivonia has a city council which is made up of 50 members that manage the city's day-to-day administration. The Capital City Council is led by a Mayor, elected by a first-past-the-post system every year.
