Klaus is located on Sint Pietereiland and is the third largest city in Saridan with a population of over 1 milion people. It was named after the famous Saridani politician Klaus Van Der Linden, founder of the Saridani Liberal Front, who was born here. Due to the large Kyo population of the city, it is also called Kyotown(Seridjaner Duntreekans: Kyostad).
Klaus is the easternmost city of Saridan, thus being a perfect freight and passenger port that welcomes milions of vessels every year. Most ships travelling to Majatra and Seleya as well as Artania stop here to either unload or load new cargo. Klaus is one of the most strategically important port cities on Terra.
Kyo people form the second largest ethnic group in the city after the mixed-race Iftgoerroon people. Most(96%) of the Saridani Kyo minority lives in Klaus.
