Main article: History of Kundrati
Kundrati began as different tribal groups distributed around the current territories that form Kundrati. These tribal groups were the Proto-Kundrati people, Peghonai people and the Enetric people.

These civilisations kept fighting for their territories and expansion, forming the Kingdom of Upper and Lower Anluain. This Kingdom would fall soon after its formation and Kundrati would enter into dark times, where there's not much information about the progress of the Kingdom/nation.

In 2397 the first president-for-life arrived to our nation. However, it didn't last long, since the president-for-life was assassinated.

A monarchy was founded in the 28th century, but lasted only around fifty years. Around the 30th century, a federal senate was formed that lasted around two centuries. It ended in a single-party state.

Then, around the mid-32nd century, the Kundrati Union, a socialist republic, was formed, and it is still present in Kundrati.

Around the mid-37th century, most of the parties that existed in the nation disappeared, leaving only the Unio enim si quis Motus Populi. Over the next 1000 years they ruled the country almost completely unopposed. Every 60 or so years a party would appear and then vanish after around a decade.

In 4785, an extremist far-right group tried to secede from the Union. This conflict eventually became a 3-way civil war known as the Kundrati War of Secession.

Following the War of Secession. Kundrati became a socialist republic. In 4842 a coup was led by a man called "The Commander" with Deltarian support. The coup was caused by a series of reforms that took freedom from the people. This coup is known as the "Jult Uprising ". After the coup, Kundrati went a 3 year transition period. Following this period, Kundrati changed its name to the Federal People's Republic of Kundrati.

However, by the 5100s there was a surge of political parties which took hold of the political spectrum, specifically the Kundrati Future Alliance, the Civil Libertarian Party, the Socialist Labour Party and the two conservative parties of Kundrati Democracy and For Kundrati. There was a general period of calm though many policies were changed - unfortunately by 5140 most of these parties, save one, dissolved and merged into other parties. This happened as a independence movement in Jildrath Island continued to become popular, and after 20 high ranking members of a cult died, protests rose up. However, the protests calmed down eventually by 5142 with the Government deciding not to do much and the police clamping down - though the local government has been given a fair bit more autonomy.

By 5143, the electorate warmed up to conservatism as in the 5143 Kundrati general elections the centre-right KD and CLP got an absolute majority of seats, though with more parties (more notably People's Front) appearing to support the left, the politics of Kundrati is now balanced - the 5146 Kundrati general elections will be a true test on how the population will react to the balance of parties.

Climate and Features

Kundrati enjoys a temperate and oceanic climate with four seasons. Temperatures vary from month to month and from coast to coast. The south generally achieves marginally higher temperatures than the north. Peghonai experiences a steady climate due to its proximity to the ocean, it has experienced excellent industrialization from it's harbours. Pilgon has a rugged landscape, including temperate forests and a mountain range spanning the eastern coast. Lirnak is a mix between forests and plains, it was formerly very densely forested, but its fine wood was used to drive industry and the grounds used for farming. Celania is renowned for it's grassy plains and bold plateaus. The coastal waters of Jildrath, which separates mainland Kundrati from Jildrati Island, sustain large areas of important marine environments.

Administrative divisions

The five Provinces of Kundrati

The constitution of Kundrati divides the country into Provinces (same form in selucian). Voters in each province elect local governments as well as participating in national elections. Each state has an administrative bureaucracy. Every province is then subdivided into 15 municipalities. In total there are five states:

Following the civil war of 4785, Peghonai enjoys a higher degree of autonomy from the central government. However, there are independence movements in Lirnak and, most notably, in Jildrath Island.

Kundrati's army is reasonably large, especially after a period of development that began in 4795, and a period of modernization from the 5140s. A period of national service for civilian or military service was declared mandatory for civilians from 5141.

Kundrati's economy is based around agriculture and mining. They are also involved in trade, especially with Endralon, Liore and Davostan. Their main exports are iron, agricultural goods and weapons from the Kundrati Weapons Manufacturer.

The education system of Kundrati consists of a public compulsory system, with home schooling allowed. Younger children are asked to recite the national pledge every day but aren't required to recite it if they wish - older children in secondary school aren't asked to do unless they're at graduation. All students must receive a basic sexual education class at some point of their lives, though often they receive such education during secondary school. Students are required to attend to classes until 18 years of age. Religious schools are allowed.

Main articles: Culture of Kundrati and Kundrati language

The culture of Kundrati is due to it's status as a "cultural pot", with Endralonians, Jildrathians, Kirlawans and the Kundrati sharing five provinces and a island. Television is popular with culture and animation being popular in Kundrati culture, while Kundrati music is popular with it's own twist on Kundrati and Endralonian tunes. The food of Kundrati is, due to it's location north of a tropical climate, more temperate - seafood in Jildrath, for example, is a popular staple while in the north various smaller foods are more popular.

The main language from Kundrati is Kundrati, though it isn't the only language used in the nation. Selucian and Endralonian languages are popular alongside due to it's prior history and influences, while Luthorian is also very popular but with it's own accents and differences - thus Kundrati Luthorian.

Boxing is the sport most practiced in Kundrati, however motorsports is getting more popular alongside baseball and basketball. Due to Kundrati's membership in the International Chess Association, chess has become more popular as well.

National animal

The national animal that represents Kundrati is the golden eagle.
