The 4734 Likatonian general election was an election held to elect the President of Likatonia and 100 mebers of the Senate of Likatonia. It marks the end of the 6th Senate.

In the presidential election, the National Union for Likatonian Prosperitywon the elction again but this time had a candidate, George A. Morgan. He was victorious over Emily Houward from the Social Democrats. In the Senate, all parties saw increases except the Labour Party with most going back to the SD and NULP. This was due to the dissolving of the Libertarian Party and Likatonian Identity Defense League.

Context[]

In the previous parliament the largest change was the Liberalisation of several laws, mostly religious. This gave people more protections and freedoms which were surprisingly taken away by the Social Democrats. Also the two new parties, the far-right Likatonian Indentity Defence League and the more centrist Libertarian Party, both were dissolved in the last Senate.

Government Formation[]

In this election the two former largest parties, the NULP and SD, saw their seats increased back to normal levels. This left the government formation up in the air to see if a left or right government would exist. A centre government could not be formed because Lab did not want to be in government and would not back the CRP. In the end a SD-SWP coalition got into government with Lab support.
