Luigi Bossi (19 October 3981 – 14 June 4045, commonly known by his Istalian nickname "Il Desolatore" ("The Desolator"), was a communist political politician, activist and paramilitary fighter in Istalia. He served as general for the terrorist Istalian People's Brigades during the mid-4040s Istalian Civil War, and was killed on 14 June 4045 during the Battle of Romula.
Early life[]
Bossi's parents were members of the Istalian Communist Party around 3970–3990, and, according to testimonies in the wake of the Istalian Civil War, passed much of their ideology over to Bossi in his youth. In 3994, he joined the youth section of the Istalian Communist Party, where he befriended Antonio Battisti, who later became President of Istalia from 4028 to 4042, and dictator from 4042 to 4045.
Between 4017 and 4021, he served as an MP in the Chamber of Deputies.
Istalian People's Brigades[]
Radicalization and disappearance[]
In March 4020, he was a founding member of the clandestine Istalian People's Brigades (BPI) paramilitary group. For this, he was barred by the Communist Party from running for re-election on their ticket in the 4021 general election. In January 4021, he was banned from the party altogether, and was reported to Istalian police by its leadership. The following day, 11 January, his house was raided by police; Bossi himself was not found, however. After contacting multiple associates of Bossi, and interrogating several members of the PCI, Istalian authorities concluded on 13 January that he had fled and entered into hiding. Bossi remained in hiding for the next 19 years, and did not regain the focus of the public eye before the 4039 Merchant Massacre.
Istalian Civil War[]
During the Istalian Civil War of 4044–4045, Bossi served as a Commander for the Istalian People's Brigades, which initially fought against both pro- and anti-government forces. Towards the end of the war, however, the BPI shifted its attacks to mainly aim at anti-government forces. On 14 June 4045, three days before the Civil War concluded, Bossi was shot and killed by anti-government troops. His remains were subsequently destroyed along with the building in which he was killed, after being blasted by opposition heavy artillery.
In the aftermath of the conflict and the fall of Antonio Battisti's autocratic regime, it was revealed that Battisti had aided Bossi into hiding, and that the former had influenced and co-operatied with the BPI over the past two decades for personal gain – effectively controlling both terrorist and anti-terrorist units prior to the outbreak of the Istalian Civil War.
