The Chamber of Delegates (Photo: 3509)

The Mordusian Chamber of Delegates is the sole legislative chamber of the Mordusian Legislative Branch (a Unicameral legislature). It is frequently referred to as the Chamber.

The major power of the Chamber is to pass federal legislation that affects the entire country although its bills can be reviewed by the Mordusian Supreme Court. The House has several exclusive powers: the power to initiate revenue bills and to impeach officials.[3]

Each U.S. state is represented in the Chamber in proportion to its population and currently 4 regions have 20 Delegates and one has 19. The total number of voting delegates is fixed by law at 99, though a tie breaking vote may be decided by the Chair of the Ministry, Speaker of the Chamber of Delegates of Mordusia.[4] Each Delegate serves for a two-year term. The Chair of the Ministry, Speaker of the Chamber of Delegates of Mordusia, who presides over the chamber, is appointed by the Chancellor, though this apointment is voted on by the Chamber.

The Chamber meets in the west wing of the Mordusian Capitol Building.
