Mpakoala, officially the Mpakoalan Communist Councilist Republic (Kyo: 파코나라 로동위원회 공산주의 공화국, Keobi: Mpakoala Kansụl Kọmunist Republik, Huhoa: Mpakoala Kwamitin Kwaminisanci Jamhuriya) is a sovereign state in Northern Dovani. Up to the Mpakoalan Revolution; the nation was known as North Dovani. North Dovani gained independence in the 5th Millenium as a former colony of Dankuk. It would go on to form Mpakoala's modern borders when Degalogesa voted to join North Dovani, but this federation would eventually spiral into a cycle of instability and debt. The Indendent State of Dovani would be declared in the 4920s, shortly followed by the Dranian State of Dovani. The Mpakoalan Revolution would begin in 4941, and end with a complete Communist victory in 4955, which would birth the modern MCCR.
Pre-Independence; the area was formerly a colony purchased by the Kyo Kingdom from Indrala for 250 billion LOD; and before then was a puppet state. Most of the region is covered by dense forests or expansive tundra; though there are attempts to vamp up the economy. The nation has 3 main ethnicities, populated mostly by the Keobi, Huhuoa, and Kyo peoples.

Mpakoala is a Communist nation with a planned economy and a vanguard party. The Chairman of the sole ruling party, the Mpakoalan Communist League, is the head of state, government, and commander in chief of the Red Army. The Supreme Council is the indirectly elected legislature of the nation, with membership being siphoned from devolved and regional workers' councils.
It is generally regarded as relatively libertarian as far as socialist states go; with civil liberties comparable to those of illiberal democracies and even 2-party states. Nonetheless, international media is subject to censorship, and the MCL remains responsible for instating all civil officials.
Mpakoala is home to 3 major ethnic groups, the Keobi, Huhoa, and Kyo. Kyo make up approximately 11% of the population, Keobi 53%, Huhoa 31%, Dradwyr 2%, and Other 3%. Kyo are concentrated mainly in the western regions, specifically the metropolis of Jinppo, but they have large presence in the eastern city of Yeonpyeong as well. Keobi are the largest and most spread out ethnic group, being found all over the land. Huhoa are found mainly in the eastern regions east of Komunismobodo. Draddwyr used to have a marginal presence in the land, but this has significantly declined over the years.
Stemming from years of Kyo and Dranian colonization, the primary language is Kyomal. However, ever since the revolution the Keobi and Huhoa languages have been given equal status, and have been revived in much of local life and administration.
Local religion tends to be popular, but Mpakoala is rather athiest in comparison to other countries. 54% of the population is non-affiliated, 32% is folk/local religion, 3% Daenist, 2% Hosian, and 5% other.
Mpakoala is well-known for it's Jazz scene; which was cultivated with a mixture of native rhythm and Kyo/Draddwyr melody. Swing remains the most popular genre, but cool, fusion, funk, and traditional jazz are present forces. Unlike typical socialist states, which tended to chastise genres outside of classical/propaganda music, Mpakoalan music tends to be less politicl and more experimental, with significant artistic liberties.
