The Narikaton & Darnussia Federal Election of 4218 was an election in the Federal Republic of Narikaton & Darnussia. The election elected 500 members of the Bundestag for the 5th Federal Assembly.
Presidential Campaign[]
On her 5th attempt at the presidency, Anna Soubrie finally was successful in her campaign; the incumbent president failing to get into the second round of voting. In her victory speech she commented on how she would "govern for all" and provide the "strong and stable leadership needed to take the country forward."
She received the largest mandate from the electorate any president previous had achieved with nearly two-thirds support. This was the third time the socialists were in the second run-off round.

Anna Soubrie resigned as a member of the legislative body and as president of the international union, Conservatives international. She also announced she would not seek a second term due to ill health.

The general election was called inline with the three year parliament act. The election saw significant increases for the Social Democratic Party, and as a result of the election a majority coaltion was formed with the Conservative Centralists, Konservative Partei, the Liberal Democrats and the PRF with a comfortable majority of 80 seats. It is considered to be the closest election in the history of the republic.
