The National Congress of the Republic (Egelian: Congreso Nacional de la República) is the lower house of the bicameral parliament of Gaduridos, the other being the Senate.

History[]

The National Congress was first formed in 5432, as a reform of the existing Parliament. It existed in a unicameral state for sixteen years, until the introduction of the Senate in 5446 and has existed as the lower house of the bicameral parliament ever since.

Composition[]

The National Congress is composed of 256 members, with 51 members per state. Members are elected via FPTP in constituencies drawn by the National Electoral Institute (INE).
