Alice Oppermann is the leader of the incumbent Oppermann Government following New Democrats victory in the 4530 elections. Following the 4531 elections, it is a minority administration that relies on a confidence and supply arrangement with the Green-Liberal Coaltion. It is the first elected government following the collapse of the short-lived Communist Workers’ Council.
The government is notable for pushing through an array of constitutional reforms aimed at restoring Dorvik to a Federal Republic.
First Cabinet[]
Oppermann’s First Cabinet served from its investiture in March 4530 until October 4531. After securing 64% of the national vote in the 4530 elections, the New Democrats led a majority government. Alice Oppermann was nominated by her party after New Democrat Chairman, Alexander Holtz, won the presidency in the concurrent presidential elections. The Dorvish Worker’s Party served as the primary opposition in the Federal Assembly.

Second Cabinet[]
Following the 4531 elections, and the subsequent loss of their majority in parliament, the cabinet of Alice Oppermann continued in a caretaker capacity. Negotiations between the New Democrats and Green-Liberal Coalition (GLK), aimed at forming a majority centre-left government, began in November. During the negotiations, National Heritage (NE) leader Franz Enkelmann was nominated by his party to lead a minority government of NE ministers. Enkelmann failed to secure the required majority of 300 votes after both the New Democrats and GLK voted against his appointment as Chancellor.

After three months of negotiations, the leadership of the New Democrats and GLK announced that they had reached a deal on forming a new government. As had been reported since mid-February, the GLK would support a minority administration of ND ministers in return for passing certain legislation. The vote received the required majority in the Federal Assembly, with all incumbent ministers continuing in their respective portfolios. As a result of the vote, National Heritage currently serves as the primary opposition.
