The City of Pfathzburg is located in the Crownland of Hulstria in the Imperial Crownlands of Greater Hulstria. Pfathzburg took its name from the fort it sprang up around, guarding a mountain pass into Mitrania. Located in the South of Crownland Hulstria at the foot of the Schneeberge Mountains, Pfathzburg houses the Crownland's central electricity headquarters because of its proximity to several hydroelectric installations in the foothills. It is also noted for its beer industry, which sprang up there because of the purity of the water.

Economy[]

Pfathzburg is home to several large companies, with one of them being the famous "Imperial Brewery Inc", a longtime national corporation that produces and distrubutes beer. The Crownland of Hulstria's electric grid operating headquarters is located in Pfathzburg and is responsible for maintaining the entire electrical grid for the Crownland, providing power to over 60 million people; construction, media, service, and health companies also have a presence in the city. Restaurants and coffee shops are frequent on the streets of Pfathzburg.

Tourism plays a part as well in the economy of Pfathzburg; the city's churchs and historical landmarks attract thousands of vistors each year. Pfathzburg brewery industry atrracts tourists and in the past years, brewery companies like the IBI amongst others have gone into opening gift shops at hopes of getting extra income and possibly new customers. The Greater Hulstrian Chronicle, Greater Hulstria's national newspaper headquartered in Kien, has an office in Pfathzburg, and they also operate both radio and television broadcasts out of the city.

Politics & Government[]

The current mayor of Pfathzburg is Gelfrat Cuneman of the Fascist Authority Party; Pfathzburg has been noted as having a very conservative population and have seldom elected liberal/socialist mayors or city council members. The city council is dominated currently by members of the Imperial Hulstrian Party and the Fascist Authority Party, who jointly set city policy. Other administrative bodies including the Pfathzburg Board of Education and the Chamber of Trade & Commerce.

Pfathzburg has a mighty pro-monarchist base and home to large aristocratic influence; it is well-known that being republican in the city is flat-out political suicide, as well as holding communist leanings. With the city located by the heart of the Hulstrian Monarchy in Kien, the citizens of the city have traditionally been anti-republican and anti-communist, which still holds true today.
