Saksoure VII (born Prince Psammuthes Saksoure-Neuhaus of Talmoria in 4141 at Neuhaus) was Pharaoh and head of state of Hawu Mumenhes from November 4166 to January 4177.
Saksoure VII was the son of Crown Prince Ahmose and the grandson of Saksoure VI who founded the Esinsundu Empire. His grandfather was deposed by a Metzist faction in February 4158 after a 53-year reign, though the Empire had been slowly breaking up for several years by then, with the governments of Cobura and Talmoria having already withdrawn.
Though Saksoure VII's father, Crown Prince Ahmose, never reigned as Emperor, he claimed the title throughout his life. When Crown Prince Ahmose died, his son and heir, then-Prince Psammuthes, continued claiming the title in pretense until newly-elected Hawu Mumenhes Prime Minister Masud Minkah notified Prince Psammuthes of his intention to restore the monarchy.
Because Cobura and Talmoria remained republican at the time, Minkah urged Prince Psammuthes to adopt the title of Pharaoh, one of three "local" royal titles which had been held by Saksoure VI to signify his simultaneous reign over each of the three Kingdoms individually in addition to reigning over the Empire as a whole. Prince Psammuthes accepted Minkah's advice and agreed to use the uniquely Hawu title to strengthen his bond with the people. Though he abandoned the Emperor title altogether. Psammuthes sought to maintain continuity with his grandfather by adopting the regnal name Saksoure VII. Saksoure VII also sought to honor his grandmother, Moniade, Queen of Talmoria, by changing the Imperial Family's name from Saksoure to Saksoure-Neuhaus.
