The Sekowan language[1][2][3] (生古塢口/シークーヲグチ Shiikuuwoguchi) is a Gao-Indralan language spoken in Sekowo by the Sekowan people. Closely related to Kunikata, Sekowan is often considered a dialect of that language, the Sekowan Dialect (生古塢方言 Seikowo hōgen). While it is the most widely spoken language in Sekowo, it is not the official language of the nation, that position being instead held by Standard Kunikata. Consequently, Sekowan is undergoing language shift towards Kunikata, becoming assimilated into the standard language. Nevertheless, Sekowan is widely used as the language of informal and family contact in Sekowo. After the Indralan-Sekowan War and the creation of Sacred Sekowo, the Sekowan language gained some official recognition, being used in parallel with Kunikata in some governmental documents.

OOC[]

Sekowan is the same as the Ryukyuan languages, primarily the Okinawan language.
