The Ecumenical Synod of Qart Qildar[1] was an Ecumenical Council of the Apostolic Church of the East that took place between 3977 and 3981, convoked in response to a number of challenges facing the Eastern Hosian Communion, particularly the ongoing Barmenian schism, Pneumatological controversies surrounding the issue of Eliyahu's humanity and divinity, and the need for a reorganization of the structure of the Church.
The Synod was successful in ending the Barmenian schism, officially adopted a reformed Pneumatology by recognizing the distinction between the human and divine natures of Eliyahu, united the Apostolic Department of Cildania and the Badaran Apostolic Church under the Apostolic Church of the Isles, granted the primacy of honor within the Eastern Hosian Communion to the Patriarch of Qart Qildar, and recognized the ordination of women as deacons.
