The Third Republican Era (Davostani: Tredje Republikanske Æra, Kivonian: Tredje Republikenstid), or also Third Kivonian Republican Era, or academically the Second Period of the Second Kivonian Era (Davostani: Anden Periode i den Anden Kivoniske Æra, Kivonian: Andra Kivontidens Andra Period) is the second political, cultural and social period during the Second Kivonian Era in Davostag since August, 4754.

Davostan, officially known as the Third Kivonian Republic (Davostani: Tredje Kivoniske Republikken, Kivonian: Tredje Kivoniska Republiken), was a Parliamentary Stratocratic Republic. The official, formal Head of State in the country was the Head of the Nation (Davostani/Kivonian: Nationens Chef), who were the de facto ruler and head of government of the Second Kivonian Socialist Republic from 4750 to 4754, and has since been the official head of state. The Secretary of State of the Republic (Davostani: Republikens Statssekretær, Kivonian: Republikens Statssekreterare) chaired the cabinet. The 521-member Senate of the Republic (Davostani/Kivonian: Republikens Senat) was the legislative assembly from 4754 to 4759, when it was replaced by the 251-member Civil Assembly (Davostani/Kivonian: Civilförsamlingen). In October 4763, the Civil Assembly became the de facto lower house, while the newly established National Salvation Military Council for the Kivonian Revolution became the de facto upper house.
In 4773, the most powerful people in the country met and formed the Council for the Preservation of the Republic (Kivonian: Rådet för Bevarandet av Republiken), more commonly known as the Shadow Council (Kivonian: Skuggrådet). It served as the collective head of state and the de facto head of government until 4774, when the de facto office of head of state became the Counselor to the Republic (Kivonian: Republikens Rådgivare). In 4777, the Shadow Council served briefly for four days as the collective head of state, until being replaced by the President of the Realm (Kivonian: Rikspresidenten) and the Minister of the Republic (Kivonian: Republikens Minister) as head of state and head of government respectively. In December 4777, the new position of head of government became the State Officer for the National Preservation of the Kivonian Republic (Kivonian: Statsofficeren för det Nationella Bevarandet av den Kivoniska Republiken).

This era begun with Act for the Creation of the Third Republic, with the abolishment of the Second Kivonian Socialist Republic. During most of the period of the Third Republic, there has been relative peace with the Kivonian National Salvation Party (KNSP) having been the only existing party during the era of the Third Republic. The head of state, the Head of the Nation has been General Augustin Volkhardt since the Third Republic's formation and he has been represented by Christian Kvist who has assumed the role of Secretary of State of the Republic as head of government and has had his cabinet serve as the Third Republic's only cabinet. In 4759 the Noble Socialists who governed the first half of the Second Kivonian Socialist Era from 4744 to 4749, reemerged in Telamon as the United Noble Socialist Party. former High Queen Annalise I established her rule as President of Telamon and publicly announcing her long-term goal of invading Davostan and "reclaiming" her throne.

When Augustin Volkhardt died in 4773, the most powerful people in the country met and formed the Council for the Preservation of the Republic, more commonly known as the Shadow Council. It served as the collective head of state and the de facto head of government until 4774, when Counselor to the Republic Julius Callus seized de facto power. Counselor Callus was however killed during the Battle of Fladborg, and the power was once more in the hands of the Shadow Council, which served only briefly for four days, until its members decided to dissolve it and make Grand Admiral Wilhelm Leitz the head of state as President of the Realm, Viktor Haninge the head of government as Minister of the Republic, and General Ruprecht Brandler the commander-in-chief of the armed forces. This triumvirate lasted for five months, when Isabella Cederstam and other moderate officers overthrew the government. Rikspresident Leitz appointed Cederstam as the new head of government through her position as State Officer of the Republic.
The Third Kivonian Republic was officially dissolved on the 1st August 4779 with the signing of the Treaty of Bindeborg. It was from 4779 to 4790 under the military occupation of Hutori and Telamon and had limited civilian administration in place.
