Politics of Pontesi Political Parties of Pontesi Most Recent General Election | |
The United National Congress (Nationum Conventus, Yoonaited Neshanal Kaangres), commonly abbreviated to the UNC is a centrist political party operating in Pontesi, founded in November 4163.
It was founded by Sadiq Mandal as a centrist and liberal alternative to the left-wing Metzism Movement Party, and the Seluco-Pontean Authoritative Party which dedicated its attention almost solely to the Seluco-Pontean minority in the nation.
It won a landslide victory in its first election, winning nearly 60% of the seats in the legislature, and reformed Pontesi into the United Republic of Pontesi in addition to many economic reforms, privatizing and liberalizing much of it.
History[]
Pontesi in the early 4160s politically was dominated by the MMPP and the Aristocrat Party, which later re-branded into the Seluco-Pontean Authoritative Party. The centre ground was not filled by either party, and as such the vacuum was filled by Sadiq Mandal and his supporters. Mandal with his supporters help managed to form a new political party, the United National Congress.
The UNC won a landslide victory in its first election, winning nearly 60% of the seats in the legislature, and reformed Pontesi into the United Republic of Pontesi in addition to many economic reforms, privatizing and liberalizing much of it.
