A federal general election was held in the Federation of Zardugal on Saturday December 10, 3338. All 750 seats to the 14th Congress of Zardugal were up for election, as was the Presidency and all five State governorships.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Michael Dowdy, the ruling New Democratic Party won its third majority government in a row, though it lost seats to the opposition Conservative Republican Party for the second time. Despite electing two new deputies to Congress, the NDP lost a total of 13 to the NDP on a swing of 1.2% to the CRP across the Federation. The New Democrats saw their majority halved from just 44 to 22 seats, though this was still more than sufficient for Dowdy to govern without difficulty.
At a local level, the NDP succeeded in defending all four of the State governorships it held and even managed to slightly reduce the majority of the only Conservative administration in Ingomu. Karen Sosa was also re-elected to her third term as President of Zadrugal - this was the first time that a President had even been returned to office for a third time consecutively, as well as the first time a head of state had been since 3302.
